Meal of Life ("we", "our", "the app") is a meal planning application. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

Email address — used for authentication and account recovery
Meal planning data — your meal selections, preferences, and planning history
Purchase status — whether you have a free or premium account

If you use the app without creating an account, your data is stored locally on your device and we do not collect any personal information.

How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the meal planning service
To sync your data across devices (premium feature)
To process purchases and manage your account status

Data Storage

Account data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore). Payment processing is handled by Stripe — we do not store your payment card details.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties, except:

Stripe — for payment processing only
Google Firebase — for secure data storage and authentication

Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time (see below).

Delete Your Account

To request deletion of your Meal of Life account and all associated data:

Email support@mealoflife.com from the email address associated with your account
Include "Delete my account" in the subject line

Upon receiving your request, we will permanently delete:

Your Firebase Authentication account
Your meal plans and calendar assignments
Your user settings and preferences
Any purchase records associated with your account

Account deletion is completed within 7 days of your request. This action is irreversible.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and data
Export your data

Children's Privacy

Meal of Life is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
